Novak Construction Completes Wauwatosa Firefly-themed Whole Foods Market®

24 Feb, 2016, 12:00 ET from Novak Construction

WAUWATOSA, Wis., Feb. 24, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Team Novak was present for the bread-breaking opening ceremony this morning at 11100 Burleigh Street, the new 47,500 square foot store in this Milwaukee suburb.

Every store in which Novak works is a unique experience, both in materials used and store products, each reflecting the local personality. This décor highlights Wauwatosa's Potawatomi meaning for firefly, a motif incorporated throughout the store.  Some of the local offerings include house-made bratwurst and bacon, 20 local craft beers on tap at the Tosa Tavern area, and hand-cut French fries at Cookshack.

The new store also features reclaimed bowling alley wood cladding at the Juice Bar - Milwaukee is home to the oldest certified bowling alley in the U.S. The cargo unit at the Meat Department is reminiscent of circus trains and Milwaukee's Great Circus Parade.

"I'm from Wisconsin originally and could not be prouder to be 'home' and a part of this new store in such a great community," noted Novak Project Director, Steve Bykowski. "Novak loves working with Whole Foods. They have an amazing focus on achieving excellence for their customers."

In addition to Director, Steve Bykowski, Novak Project Members included Superintendent, Mark Nickolson; Sr. Project Manager, Karen Rugh; Project Manager, Mimi Novak; Contract Administrator, Angela Campisi; and, Project Accountant, Mark Weiner.
