Nutrilite Health Institute appoints Dr. Vasily Isakov to Scientific Advisory Board

The Nutrilite Health Institute Scientific Advisory Board is comprised of eight leading scientists in the fields of nutrition, health and genetics from around the world. As a board member, Dr. Isakov will join his board colleagues in guiding the future of NUTRILITE^™ , the world's #1 selling vitamins and dietary supplements  brand*, lending knowledge and expertise into the brand's research and development.

Dr. Isakov is the chief of the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in the Institute of Nutrition of Russian Academy of Medical Sciences in Moscow. His research work is concentrated on nutrition in pathogenesis and treatment of GI (Gastro Intestinal) and liver diseases and he has authored and co-authored more than 100 peer-reviewed papers as well as numerous abstracts, books, book chapters and monographs.

Currently, Dr. Isakov serves as the editor-in-chief of Clinical Gastroenterology & Hepatology (Russian edition), the vice president of the Russian Scientific Society of Gastroenterologists and an editorial board member of the Best Practice & Research Clinical Gastroenterology, Experimental and Clinical Gastroenterology, Voprosy Pitaniya. He also is a member of the American Society for Nutrition (ASN), American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) and a fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA).  

Dr. Isakov was awarded the Abrikosov Prize of Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Nikolai Pirogov Prize of Russian State Medical University and Prize of Moscow government in medical research.
