ALBANY, N.Y., Nov. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ --

Following the recent AP News story titled "Cuomo's Office Tightly Controls Public Records" which reveals a culture of secrecy and corruption, Michael Carey the Founder of The Jonathan Carey Foundation has sought criminal investigations of Governor Cuomo and other top State officials. State Police Superintendent D'Amico has refused to allow any criminal complaints, reports or affidavits to be taken and has also refused to immediately request in writing of the Attorney General for an Independent Special Prosecutor to be assigned.
Cuomo's newly renamed Justice Center Abuse Hotline is the direct result of the NY Times "Abused & Used" investigative reporting series is known to be operating fraudulently as reported by the NY Daily News. As staggering numbers of deaths of people with disabilities continues, as well as the rampant physical and sexual abuse in residential facilities in New York State, Governor Cuomo has chosen to cover and conceal most of these criminal cases from the public with the help of the NYS Police. Abuse and neglect of disabled people are crimes according to NYS law, but in most cases not treated as so by NYS. Governor Cuomo's Justice Center, a continuation of the former Commission on Quality of Care for Persons with Disabilities, with decades of history of keeping calls from 911, local police and County elected District Attorney's directs people that witness Abuse or Neglect on their posters to report directly to them NOT to 911.
Thousands of reported criminal cases are bypassed from ever going to the emergency 911 call centers throughout NYS set up to protect everyone, violating the civil rights of the disabled, keeping local police and emergency first responders from being able to further protect the injured victims, speak to the witnesses, investigate, collect evidence or generate independent reports. Over 7,500 calls are reported every month and 11-12 of which are deaths every single day on average. AP News first reported in its February 9th story on how this State agency is operating under a veil of secrecy and little is known about what is happening with thousands of reported cases every month!
Instead of moving to protect 1,000,000 of New York State's most vulnerable residents Governor Cuomo and other top State officials are allegedly involved in Public Corruption, Official Misconduct, Abuse of Power and Fraud.
