OfficeMax Announces Annual Shareholders Meeting Date

NAPERVILLE, Ill., Feb. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- OfficeMax^® Incorporated (NYSE: OMX), a leader in office supplies, technology and services, today announced that it intends to hold its annual meeting of shareholders at 2:00 p.m. Central Daylight Time on Monday, April 29, 2013 at the Hotel Arista at City Gate Centre, 2139 City Gate Lane, Naperville, Illinois for the purposes of:

• electing directors;
• appointing an independent registered public accounting firm for 2013;
• approving the compensation of our named executive officers; and
• approving an amendment to our 2003 OfficeMax Incentive and Performance Plan.

Shareholders of record on March 8, 2013 will be eligible to vote at the annual stockholders meeting.
