Ogilvy Public Relations Appoints Nicky McHugh as Executive Director, Corporate Practice in New York
NEW YORK, June 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Ogilvy Public Relations (Ogilvy PR), an integrated global communications firm, today announced that Nicky McHugh has been named Executive Director of the agency's New York Corporate Practice, effective June 2, 2014.
Reporting to Ogilvy PR/New York's Managing Director Dr. Jennifer Scott, McHugh will lead the strategic direction and growth of the New York Corporate Practice. She will oversee the group's client accounts, financial performance, talent, and business development initiatives. The Corporate Practice services clients in the areas of reputation management, employee communications, investor relations and business-to-business public relations.

Bringing nearly two decades of experience in strategic corporate communications, reputation management, issues advocacy and executive visibility, McHugh has partnered with numerous influential brands in the financial and professional services sectors. She launched the Qatar Investment Authority in the U.S., provided executive support across North America for the Dubai International Financial Center and also for the French government's economic development division, Invest in France. Most recently she spearheaded the agency team for Deloitte, and was the North America lead for the World Gold Council.

McHugh joins Ogilvy PR from MSLGroup where she served as the Corporate Group's Deputy Practice Director and lead for the Financial and Professional Services teams. In this role, she oversaw operations for the group including account service, budgeting and forecasting, business development and staffing. Before that, she spent two years as a Senior Vice President at the agency. Previously, McHugh held Vice President positions at Stanton Public Relations & Marketing and Hill & Knowlton.
