Ohio Marketing Strategist Recognized Nationally for Google Community Leadership
ATHENS, Ohio, March 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- This week Colin Donohue, Principal Strategist for Root Deeper Marketing (www.rootdeeper.com) was selected as Ohio's first Google Partners Community Ambassador for promoting excellence in Google Adwords and Analytics management through service to the Google Partners Community.
Scott Christopher, the Google staff member responsible for the community shares the significance of the recognition "Colin was selected as one of only 18 Ambassadors chosen from over 22,000 members in the Partners Community across North America and is our first in Ohio."
This distinction was a recognition of both technical competence, but also of an elevated level of service to the Partners Community, an online forum for marketing professionals hosted by Google. Christopher explains the selection.
"Colin demonstrated strong product knowledge of Adwords and Analytics in addition to being consistently helpful to others learning them," says Christopher.
"One thing that distinguished Colin is his ability to address Adwords questions and issues from the perspective of business strategy, and to demonstrate how answers to technical questions relate to market conditions and business goals."
Donohue is glad for the opportunity. "I love the analytical challenges of Adwords and Google Analytics. But I also like helping people. Maybe it's all my time in the nonprofit world, but if I can help a colleague solve a problem I faced or help a business harness a new tool for marketing, it's a great day for me. It boils down to helping people succeed, whether my clients or my colleagues."
Donohue has also had received recognition for helping in his home town of Athens this year when he was invited to join the Ohio University Innovation Center as an "anchor tenant" to help startups in Southeast Ohio grow.
