LIBERTYVILLE, Ill., May 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- In celebration of the 21st annual National Senior Health & Fitness Day Wednesday, May 28, Ohio seniors will join more than 100,000 older adults across the country in health and wellness events at more than 1,000 locations.
National Senior Health & Fitness Day aims to promote the importance of regular physical activity for seniors, and showcase what local organizations are doing in their communities to help improve older adults' health and wellness. It is the nation's largest health promotion event for older adults.
In Ohio, National Senior Health & Fitness Day will be celebrated at senior centers; retirement communities; Ys and health clubs; hospitals and health systems; and local aging organizations.
