Ommy has turned over 2M selfies into stickers in just 7 days after its launch
WASHINGTON, Feb. 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Ommy, an AI-based sticker-creation app, became the number one utility app for 27 countries in the iTunes AppStore just a week after its launch. Launched on February 14th, the app has already processed over 2 million selfies and turned them into stickers.
Ommy generates a unique emoji by applying artificial intelligence to a user's selfie. What users love the most are the collections of personalized GIFs: love, funny and professions, which present different situations and styles.
The app featured a special "Love" collection of stickers for Valentine's Day, which was a big hit among users all over the world. Many have willingly shared their individual stickers through different messaging platforms and gave positive feedback and rave reviews. Developers are now watching the number of downloads and predict that success is yet to come!
"I am happy to see that users are as excited by the idea of their own, unique emojis, as I am. I came up with the thought of such a product few months ago and now it's happening," creator Dmitry Koltcov said. "Our team looks forward to future innovations. Every user will help us in our work, thanks to their continual feedback. As Ommy uses neural networks, each new user's experience will make the result more precise," he added.
The team claims that their technology will be able to turn a user's head from a single selfie into a cartoon-style 3D avatar very soon. They also plan to release new styles and new features regularly within the app. Dmitry Kolstov, CEO of EMOJI APPS Inc, is available for comment.
