Omnicom Media Group Agencies Top Winners List At Cristal Festival Combined Total of 21 Wins Includes Global Grand Cristal for OMD and Two Cristals for PHD
CRISTAL, France, Dec. 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Omnicom Media Group (OMG) topped the list of media agency holding company award winners at the 2013 Cristal Festival, the annual five day international media and creativity summit and competition that concluded today in Cristal, France.
OMG's flagship agencies PHD and OMD took home a combined total of 21 awards– including two Cristals (the festival's equivalent of a gold medal) for PHD and a Global Grand Cristal (the equivalent of a grand prix) for OMD -- earning the number one and two spots respectively in terms of most awards won by an individual agency network in the media category.
OMD Dominican Republic took the Global Grand Cristal in the Launch division for the "Gastronomical Heritage" campaign it created for dairy manufacturer Rica, as well two Cristal level awards. The Dominican Republic's three wins were among a total of eight awards won by OMD teams across multiple regions, including the US, Guatemala, Hong Kong and United Arab Emirates.
PHD's total of 13 wins -- encompassing entries from China, Columbia, Hong Kong, India, New Zealand, and the UK -- made it the most awarded agency in the media category, and included two Cristals: one for Best Use of Events, won by PHD Puerto Rico for its Amnesty International "Last Meal" campaign; and the Services (Non-Financial) Cristal awarded to PHD UK for its Sainsbury "Recipe for Success" campaign.

Now in its 12th year, the Cristal Festival is an international summit for advertising and media professionals designed to promote advertising creativity, support knowledge sharing and showcase outstanding work from all over the world.
