OMNITEC Solutions, Inc. Awarded Two OSD Contracts Totaling $55 Million
BETHESDA, Md., June 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- OMNITEC Solutions, Inc., announces the award of two contracts for continuing work supporting the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD): a five-year contract with the Defense Media Activity (DMA), Defense Enterprise Media Systems (DEMS) Office with a value of $49 million, and a five-year contract with the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs (A/SD [PA]) with a value of $6 million.
OMNITEC's technical and program management services supporting the Public Web Program will continue to help reduce infrastructure costs by deploying a Web Content Management System throughout every military service in support of the Defense Media Activity, Defense Enterprise Media Systems Office. Automated work-flow processes are embedded in the overall IT architecture supporting news and information reported on, and approved by, public affairs officers and shared via navy.mil, af.mil, etc., across the world instantaneously. OMNITEC's expertise in rapidly evolving Internet technologies enable clients to stay ahead of communication advances by providing new capabilities that support information sharing, while significantly reducing costs.
These Office of the Secretary of Defense contracts also support the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs, the principal staff assistant and advisor to the Secretary of Defense (SECDEF) and the Deputy Secretary of Defense (DEPSECDEF) with news media relations and public communications. OMNITEC subject matter experts will provide timely, in-depth knowledge of media research and analysis methods, and the ability to rapidly collect, collate, and effectively present research and analysis results to senior leaders in Department of Defense (DoD). This requires OMNITEC personnel executing the work for Office of the Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs to conduct time-sensitive DoD news and information activities with national and international media representatives, while working collaboratively with the OSD, Combatant Commands, Joint Staff, and the Military Services.
"We are very grateful for this opportunity to continue providing the best use of the latest technologies to consolidate and integrate the military's web presence, using OMNITEC-produced and government-owned web-based Content Management System (CMS)," said Morris Brown, President and CEO of OMNITEC Solutions, Inc. "This reduces government infrastructure costs, while supporting rapid access to critical news and information from across the world, for all military services."
