One-piece Problem Solver: Deceptively Simple Grab N Go Band Combines Minimalism and Convenience, Enables Users to Carry Just the Essentials

DEERFIELD, Ill., Oct. 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The experience of carrying around way too much stuff in a wallet (or worse, loose in one's pockets) is fairly common—that's why it made such a great gag on Seinfeld. Now, add smartphones to the mix, and people are finding they don't have enough hands or pockets to deal with all their cash, cards and keys. That's why inventor Danny Wilk developed the Grab N Go Band—a sophisticated solution to an increasingly universal problem.

The Grab N Go Band is a specially designed rubber band that fits over a typical smartphone. While the front of the phone stays open so that users can make calls, use the touchscreen and so on, the back of the phone now doubles as a secure means to carry a few essentials. The Grab N Go Band can hold an ID, credit cards, cash and a key snugly against the back of the phone.

A fundraising campaign for the Grab N Go Band is currently underway on Kickstarter.

As a serial entrepreneur, Wilk is no stranger to alternative fundraising methods. Previously, he spearheaded a successful campaign for a minimalist wallet. Grab N Go Bands take that minimalist philosophy a step further.

"Smartphones have become an almost indispensable part of people's daily routines. But there's no way to minimize a smartphone," explained Wilk. "That's when I conceived the idea for the Grab N Go Bands, which combines the principles of a minimal wallet with a smartphone. Now, users going on short errands, such as walking the dog or going to the gym, can take along everything they need in one hand."

The convenience of Grab N Go Bands is not their only selling point; they will also be offered at a more-than-competitive price. Early bird backers on Kickstarter will be able to pick up 10 bands for just $5. Once the product hits the market, they will retail at 5 for $5, still a remarkable deal. Wilk remarks that there's no reason minimalism should be expensive.

More than 30 days remain on the Kickstarter campaign, and 200-plus people have seen enough value in the Grab N Go Band to contribute. Wilk plans to announce some special promotions and goodies later in the campaign.
