The three top ranking online programs surveyed include Dakota State University (1st) followed by Southern New Hampshire University and Regis University. Notable trends in the report show a growth in online data science programs at both traditionally prestigious research universities as well as universities with large online offerings and non-traditional delivery options with greater flexibility. This growth is in line with trade-specific higher education online growth as a whole. For data science in particular, favorable press on career prospects as well as massive demand could have played a large role in the rapid proliferation of online data science degree programs.
