Opportunity Knocks Seeks Nominations for 6th Annual Competition
ATLANTA, Dec. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Opportunity Knocks is now accepting nominations for its nationwide "Best Nonprofit to Work For" competition. The deadline for submissions is January 18, 2013.
Nominations should be submitted on the official form, which can be found at http://content.opportunityknocks.org/bestnp/. Criteria to be addressed in the nomination are factors which affect the workplace, such as work/life balance, employee benefits, a commitment to training and professional development, community impact, and the general working environment. In addition to completing the nomination form, applicants may submit a video, as well as the organization's social media contact information.
Competing organizations will be grouped into four categories based on the size of their operating budget. A winner and two runners-up will be chosen in each grouping. Results will be published in February 2013 and all nine organizations will receive special recognition on the Opportunity Knocks website and blog.
Past winners of the competition include: Wounded Warrior Project, PathWays PA, Inc.
Wounded Warrior Project, DonorsChoose.org, The School for Field Studies, Recovery Resource Council, Voices for Children, New Leaders for New Schools, Stanford University, Alzheimer's Association, and Orange County Chapter.
