LOS ANGELES, Sept. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Mobile Mafia met in Manhattan on September 23rd, the first day of Advertising Week, to toast the winners of the inaugural Mobile Mafia Awards. The winners were honored at a dinner hosted by Mobile Media Summit Founder-CEO Paran Johar at the Upper West Side's Corvo Bianco, previously home to an organized crime scene in the 1930s and now home to celebrity chef Elizabeth Falkner.
With mobile more and more becoming a priority in marketer campaigns, the Mobile Mafia Awards were created by the Mobile Media Summit to recognize the multitude of amazing creative work and innovation in the industry. The awards covered nine categories for brands, agencies, publishers, social media and technology companies and were judged by five of the top minds in advertising today: Brandon Berger, chief digital officer, Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide; Steve Hicks, chief digital creative officer, mcgarrybowen; Eric Weisberg, executive creative director, JWT New York; Jonathan Anastas, VP-global brand marketing, digital/social, Activision; and Amir Kassaei, chief creative officer, DDB Worldwide.

Oreo was the night's big winner for its "Twist, Lick and Dunk" campaign created by Carnival Labs, taking home best in show as well as most innovative brand in mobile.
