NEW YORK, Feb. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- OTC Markets Group Inc. (OTCQX: OTCM), operator of Open, Transparent and Connected financial marketplaces for 10,000 U.S. and global securities, today announced the fourth quarter 2014 performance of the OTCM ADR Index (.OTCDR) and the OTCM QX ADR 30 Index ("OTCQX30 Index") (.OTCQX30), which are both powered by BNY Mellon DR IndicesSM.

The OTCM ADR Index, which benchmarks more than 600 of the largest, most actively-traded American Depositary Receipts ("ADRs") on the OTCQX®, OTCQB® and OTC Pink® marketplaces, declined 2.55% in the fourth quarter and was down 5.63% for the full year 2014. This compares to the MSCI EAFE Index which was down 7.35% in 2014.
The top most actively traded component ADR during the quarter was Roche Holding Ltd., which trades on OTCQX, the best marketplace for established, global and growth companies.
The OTCQX30 Index, which is comprised of the 30 largest ADRs traded on OTCQX, declined 4.78% during the fourth quarter.
Fourth Quarter 2014 Highlights:
- The OTCM ADR Index fell 2.55% during the quarter compared to a 6.97% decline in the third quarter 2014.
- The top 10 most actively traded component ADRs during the fourth quarter were: BASF SE, BG Group PLC, and Roche Holding Ltd., which trade on OTCQX; and Bayer A.G., Gazprom OAO, LUKOIL Oil Co., Nestle S.A., Tokyo Electron Ltd., Siemens AG and SOFTBANK Corp., which trade on OTC Pink and limit distribution of information to their home market.
- Nine companies were added to the OTCM ADR Index during the quarter: Maxcom Telecomunicaiones S.A.B. de CV, which trades on OTCQX; and Bilfinger SE, Delta Lloyd N.V., Distribuidora Internacional De Alimentacion S.A., Fujitec Co Ltd., INDIVIOR PLC, Japan Tobacco, Solvay S.A., and Veolia Environnement, which trade on OTC Pink. Ten companies were removed from the OTCM ADR Index during the quarter.
- The OTCQX30 Index was down 4.78% in the fourth quarter compared to a 9.53% decline in the third quarter 2014. Fresenius SE & Co. KGaA, Kroton Educacional S.A., Marks & Spencer Group PLC, and Turkiye Garanti Bankasi A.S. were added to the Index during the fourth quarter and Infineon Technologies AG, Technip, Volkswagen AG's ADR "VLKAY" and Wolseley PLC were removed. Volkswagen AG's ADR "VLKPY" remained on the Index during the quarter.
