Owl Computing Technologies Contributes to New York Institute of Technology Learning Resources The network security firm donates equipment for educational advancement

RIDGEFIELD, Conn., April 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Owl Computing Technologies, Inc., a network security and information solutions provider, is proud to announce a recent collaboration with the New York Institute of Technology to contribute equipment that will enhance learning in their engineering and computer sciences programs.

The New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) was founded in 1955 with the mission to provide career-oriented professional education, access to technological opportunities, and support for applications-oriented research that benefits the world. The donated equipment will enhance learning in the classroom by providing students the opportunity to receive hands-on experience using equipment that is prevalent within the industry, and by teaching aspects of network security that are difficult to conceptualize outside practical application.

The equipment will also facilitate research being conducted at NYIT. Potential applications for the donated equipment have a ranging utility, which includes electronic communication for surgically implanted devices, assisted living technologies, mobile device security, and healthcare information security.
