Panel Of Experts To Discuss The Challenges In Implementation Of Section 508 In Federal Contracts
Event to be held June 4, 2014, 8:30 AM at the National Press Club in Washington D.C.
HERNDON, Va., May 14, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Deque Systems is presenting a panel of government and industry experts to discuss the challenges of building a successful 508 program as well as some innovative approaches to executing that program. The panel will be moderated by Mark Lumer, the former Principal Assistant Responsible for Contracting for the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command with over 30 years of experience working for the Federal Government.
True 508 compliance among federal agencies is not yet a reality. In the past, contractors and federal agencies have managed to let these requirements slip or get them waived altogether, but it is increasingly clear that federal agencies are not willing to accept this lax approach to 508 compliance. According to Deque CEO Preety Kumar, "As our society becomes more and more dependent on web and mobile access, Section 508 compliance is being taken very seriously by the Federal Government."
Speakers include:
-
Dr. Angela Billups, Senior Procurement Executive for the Department of Health and Human Services
-
Preety Kumar, CEO of Deque Systems and digital accessibility thought leader
Panelists will discuss the tools and expertise required to assure your Federal Government clients that you can deliver digital content and applications accessibly, efficiently, and to 508 specifications. Join us on June 4th at 8:30am at the National Press Club for what is sure to be an enlightening panel. Register now!
