Park Lane Hotel To Host Exclusive Events During Food Network & Cooking Channel New York City Wine & Food Festival Presented By Food & Wine
NEW YORK, Sept. 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Park Lane Hotel, a luxury 46-story hotel with panoramic views of Central Park and the New York City Skyline, today announced that it will be hosting three dinners as part of the Food Network & Cooking Channel New York City Wine & Food Festival presented by FOOD & WINE.

Each event will bring world-renowned chefs to the beautiful Park Room Restaurant, as part of the Bank of America Dinner Series. They are:
A Dinner with Ashley Christensen, Alex Raij and Gabrielle Hamilton
The first dinner, taking place on Thursday, October 15, will feature three award-winning female chefs. Ashley Christensen, winner of the James Beard Foundation Best Chef Southeast Award (2014), will bring her Southern-influenced New American cuisine from her restaurant empire in Raleigh, North Carolina. Alex Raij is the chef and owner of three Spanish influenced restaurants in New York City, and was voted "Chef of the Year" by Eater (2012). Gabrielle Hamilton is the mastermind behind Prune, the renowned East Village restaurant and has won the 2011 James Beard Foundation Best Chef New York City Award, as well as the James Beard Award for best Writing and Literature for her food memoir, Blood, Bones & Butter (Random House, 2012). Wine pairings will be provided by Southern Wine & Spirits of New York.
Masters of the Kitchen: An Evening hosted by Dana Cowin with John Besh, Andrew Zimmern, Jose Garces and Daniel Boulud
The second sold-out dinner, taking place on Friday, October 16, will be hosted by Dana Cowin, editor-and-chief of FOOD & WINE magazine. Cowin's 2014 book, Mastering My Mistakes in the Kitchen: Learning to Cook with 65 Great Chefs and Over 100 Delicious Recipes (Ecco, October 2014), highlights the lessons she learned from professional chefs that led her to become a confident home cook. Cowin's book will be brought to life at this intimate dinner with celebrity chefs John Besh, Andrew Zimmern, Jose Garces and Daniel Boulud, who will also provide their tips and tricks to being successful in the kitchen. Guests will leave with a copy of Mastering My Mistakes in the Kitchen. Wine pairings will be provided by Southern Wine & Spirits of New York.
A Dinner with Virgilio Martínez and Matthew Lightner
The last dinner, taking place on Saturday, October 17, will feature one of the best chefs in Latin America joining forces with one of the most innovative chefs in the US for an exclusive and intimate dinner. Virgilio Martínez is the Executive Chef of Central in Lima, Peru, named the No. 1 restaurant in Latin America on the list of the World's 50 Best Restaurants, where he uses indigenous ingredients and modern techniques to transform traditional dishes into something extraordinary. Matthew Lightner, who trained under Ferran Adrià and rose to stardom at NYC's Atera, is a passionate proponent of fusing local ingredients and modernist cooking techniques with Spanish influences. Wine pairings will be provided by Southern Wine & Spirits.
