Despite the summer washout and bleak economic climate, Park Resorts has released its year on year growth figures this week and they make for sunny reading! The leading holiday park operator has seen a 4% increase on direct business revenue and a 2% increase in visitor numbers compared to 2011.
Richie Jones, Sales & Marketing Director at Park Resorts, says: "While summer may have been a washout weather-wise, we are delighted to report a strong year of trading. The Great British Holiday has enjoyed somewhat of a revival over the past few years and our results seem to show that this is continuing despite the lack of sunshine. We believe it is testament to the fantastic facilities our 39 holiday parks offer our visitors, whatever the weather!
"2013 is going to be an exciting time for us and we believe we can further increase the great value family fun we offer with new investment and brand new activities. 2012 has been a great year to be British and despite the weather our customers still can't beat a UK break!"
Park Resorts is investing millions in its parks and activities next year to ensure it really does offer all that is great about a British seaside holiday. With heavy investment in entertainment, facilities, caravan fleet and an increase in staff numbers across the 39 parks and at the company's head office, Park Resorts' customers will be reaping the rewards of a successful 2012!
Using feedback on what has been a hit with visitors this year, Park Resorts is investing in its entertainment offering, increasing the number of live and tribute acts on the bill for selected parks next year. Including the introduction of further WOW weekends, Movies Under The Stars evenings and an increase in Open Mic Nights - join the fun and you may be the star of the show! The company is looking at creating holidays to suit all and is marketing its parks as either 'lively' - for those who prefer the traditional evening entertainment or 'leisurely' for those who may prefer a quieter, more relaxing pace.
A large investment has been placed at Southview Leisure Park, Skegness for 2013 with a newly developed swimming pool and brand new fun flume! Park Resorts' sports programme across selected parks will also see an increase in new and different activities on offer for all the family.
"The positivity of the country following the Olympics, coupled with a general energy and enthusiasm for our sporting facilities from our visitors means we are increasing our sports offering, with the introduction of many new and varied activities such as Zumba and Crossbow!" continues Jones.
Park Resorts is currently running its best-ever early-booking offer with savings of up to 30% and prices from just £69. A special low deposit of £30 is also all that's needed to secure your booking. Offer ends 31 January 2013.
