Parkeon and NuPark Integrate To Offer Citation Payment At The Meter

MOORESTOWN, N.J., May 27, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Parkeon, a global leader in urban mobility solutions for the parking and transit industries, and NuPark, an innovative provider of LPR (license plate recognition) focused parking permit and enforcement solutions, have announced that they have completed an integration to allow motorists to pay their citations at Parkeon multi-space parking meters. 

The integration utilizes Parkeon Cloud Services, a technology that facilitates connection of the Parkeon system with 3rd party applications, such as the system provided by NuPark.  When a motorist receives a citation, they will have the option to pay at a Parkeon meter by entering either their citation number or their license plate number.  The meter then requests the amount owed by the motorist, which is provided by the NuPark system.  The meter displays this amount and provides options for the motorist to pay.  Once the transaction is complete, the information is sent to NuPark to clear the citation balance.

Parkeon and NuPark developed the solution to be very flexible for everyone to use.  This solution allows the driver to pay for just one citation at a time or all citations that are owed, and it also has the flexibility to offer a discount to drivers that pay their citations in a specified amount of time.  This service will provide more convenience for drivers and the potential for the operator to collect citation revenue quicker.
