Patriot Data Solutions Group Launches ExchangeBuilder Wizard, Moderates Panel at IACP LEIM Conference Next Month
- Company to introduce their Information Exchange Package Documentation wizard; lead a panel discussion on recent success in New Jersey -
SAN DIEGO, May 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Patriot Scientific Corporation's (OTCBB: PTSC) wholly-owned subsidiary, Patriot Data Solutions Group's (PDSG) will announce a significant enhancement to their CrossFlo DataExchange® (CDX) software product as well as moderate a workshop at next month's Law Enforcement Information Management (LEIM) conference.
The company will introduce its Information Exchange Package Documentation (IEPD) wizard in the newest version of CDX and lead an expert panel to discuss a recent success story for the state of New Jersey.
"LEIM is the perfect place to showcase how we set the standard for software automation for federal, state and local law enforcement data sharing systems and provide a relevant example of our ability to do so," said Thomas Kooy, Vice President of Product Development at PDSG. "We're very much looking forward to the dialogue we'll have with key technology and law enforcement decision makers at the conference."
An IEPD is a specification for a data exchange that defines a particular data exchange, such as for disseminating an Amber Alert to announce the suspected abduction of a child. It is a set of artifacts consisting of normative exchange specifications, examples, metadata and documentation encapsulated by a catalog that describes each artifact. The new release of ExchangeBuilder within PDSG's CDX platform includes the IEPD Project Wizard that takes the user through an interview to collect all of the metadata that is needed to compose a NIEM-conforming IEPD. The Project Wizard prompts the user for all of the information, and provides a check of the data entered for completeness. The Wizard will show that individual where their information is incomplete and guide them through the entire process.
LEIM is organized by the International Association of Chiefs of Police, and is the only law enforcement technology professional conference designed for practitioners by practitioners. Panels of subject matter experts from throughout the nation and around the world shared best practices and lessons learned in the application of technology to improve public and officer safety, enhance effective decision making and improve performance. Mr. Kooy will moderate a key panel workshop on a recent implementation of a statewide incident and intelligence program for the State of New Jersey as well as its integration with the national data exchange repository (N-Dex) and the FBI's Criminal Justice Information System. With him will be Chris Rein, former CTO of the New Jersey State Police, and John Dough, Chief of the New Jersey's Essex County Sheriff's Office.
CDX features National Information Exchange Model-conforming integration capabilities that provides integrated data sharing, enhanced data interoperability and data integration that is built on open-source industry standards and architected according to SOA principles. Reusable artifacts also support additional partners and information exchanges. More information on the CDX platform is available at PDSG's website.
Members of the media and conference attendees interested in speaking with PDSG at this event should visit booth number 223, or contact PDSG at [email protected].
