Pavegen Selected to Present at CleanEquity Monaco 2014 Pavegen will present at CleanEquity Monaco 2014 on March 27th & 28th at the Sporting d'Hiver, Monaco.
LONDON, March 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- CleanEquity Monaco is an annual invitation-only event hosted by Innovator Capital, the London based specialist cleantech investment bank.
Other partners and sponsors include Prince Albert II of Monaco's Foundation, Covington & Burling, Qualcomm, Renault-Nissan Alliance, Autodesk, Polar Star Ventures, PR Newswire, Kwittken & Company, The Climate Group the Monte-Carlo SBM and Monaco Chamber of Economic Development.
Pavegen has been identified by an expert panel as one of the world's most innovative cleantech companies and has been selected to present to senior financial and strategic cleantech investors, policy makers, legislators, end users and media.
Pavegen pioneered a flooring tile that converts the energy from footsteps into renewable electricity, enough to power applications such as lighting, displays & communications networks. The tiles can collect, monitor & communicate live data using a unique wireless API. Their most recent installation in St Omer train station, Northern France, saw 14 tiles power LED lighting beneath two benches, as well as two USB ports that allowed commuters to charge their electronic devices.
Laurence Kemball-Cook, CEO and Founder, who will present at the Clean Equity event says, "This has been a momentous opportunity to promote Pavegen and our ideals for a sustainable future. I believe that collectively, we can impact our current climate condition, improving our energy usage through large-scale installations. I am grateful for the prospect of funding and future collaborations with investors of similar ambition."
Pavegen is the invention of Laurence Kemball-Cook, an industrial design engineer and graduate of Loughborough University. The CEO and founder developed the concept in 2009, whilst researching kinetic off-grid energy solutions in environments where low-carbon technologies like solar and wind are not practical. Pavegen tiles can be used in both indoor and outdoor locations and work best where there is high footfall, such as retail and transport hubs. Pavegen units are also available in modular form for use at events, such as exhibitions and marketing campaigns, to demonstrate the client's commitment to innovation, sustainability and CSR initiatives.
