Payday Comes Early for NASA Federal Credit Union Members
NASA Federal launches EarlyAccess™ Payroll as part of new Premier Checking Line
UPPER MARLBORO, Md., Sept. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Payday comes early for those with direct deposit payments to their NASA Federal Credit Union checking accounts. Effective September 15, credit union members who have their paychecks and other payments directly deposited into their NASA Federal checking account will be able to access the funds one day sooner than usual.
As part of NASA Federal's new Premier Checking Line which launched this week, the free EarlyAccess Payroll feature allows credit union members to get their money even faster. Members will now have access to their direct deposits or ACH transfers up to one day earlier, and for some members, including NASA employees, money from direct deposits could be available up to two days in advance.
"We developed EarlyAccess as an innovative way to provide NASA Federal members greater control of, and access to, their money during these challenging economic times," said Doug Allman, president and CEO of NASA Federal Credit Union. "One day or more can make a big difference to those on tight budgets and facing financial challenges," said Allman.
There may be circumstances, such as holidays, weekends, or a change in employer payroll processes when funds will not be available early. During such instances, credit union members will have access to their funds on a regularly scheduled payday. EarlyAccess Payroll covers all direct deposits, not just paychecks, including annuities, pensions and social security deposits.
In addition to EarlyAccess Payroll, a new free service of NASA Federal, other Premier Checking Line benefits include a one-time annual NSF FreePass™, a non sufficient fund waiver; one free box of checks per year, free online bill pay services, a free NASA FCU Visa check card with cash back, and free mobile banking and remote deposit. NASA employment is not a requirement for NASA Federal Credit Union membership. Contact the credit union for details.
"Members with Premier Checking will find they have more control over their finances, increased flexibility, and will enjoy better rewards than their previous checking," said Allman. "EarlyAccess Payroll is an innovative way to better serve our members."
