The upstart brand has just announced that Boyd Feltman is now CEO and co-owner of Peachwave LLC (a company headquartered in Holland, MI), and is thrilled with the recent purchase of the Peachwave Frozen Yogurt trademark, all licensor agreements and wholesaler operations from Sky-J Enterprise, Ltd (a company headquartered in Oklahoma). Boyd opened a location just two years ago after leaving GE to pursue his dream of owning his own company. Since then, he has thoroughly enjoyed working with the brand as a store owner and seeing how Peachwave brings so much delight to customers and communities.
"My family fell in love with Peachwave while living in Connecticut, and I was excited to bring it to Michigan where I grew up. I opened one store in Holland, MI in 2013 that quickly became a top store in the chain. I then opened the second store in Wyoming, MI in 2014. In addition to making a great yogurt, the Peachwave business model was so appealing because it does not take fees and royalties from the operators. I felt not having those costs would allow for a more resilient business that could keep profits working in the local economy in various ways. For example, we allocate some of those saved costs to donate a % of all sales to a local early childhood development organization," says Boyd Feltman. "When the opportunity was presented to purchase Peachwave along with a partner that owns eight Peachwave locations in New York and Connecticut, I jumped at the opportunity. This brand has so much untapped potential and is great for all types of communities."
To continue developing and growing the brand, Mr. Feltman will work closely with its operators to increase collaboration, management support, community involvement and ensure all of its customers continue to receive an "always quality, always delighting, always clean" experience at all Peachwave stores. He is also committed to opening in new markets, as well as further developing its product offering and supply chain.
Peachwave Frozen Yogurt was founded in 2009 and currently has 70 locations across the United States, Canada and Grand Cayman Island with distribution centers in Oklahoma and New Jersey. Its locations are known for providing customers with a memorable, healthier and uplifting experience that is appealing to all ages. Peachwave takes great pride that it makes over 80 fresh frozen yogurt flavors with live and active cultures and fat-free milk in each store's kitchen. The proprietary flavor selections range from tart to sweet to fruity to candy-like and is constantly changing seasonally in each store. Once customers sample and select a flavor, they are presented with a large selection of fresh fruits, nuts, grains, candy and sauces in a self-serve format that provides them with an experience to "create their own frozen yogurt masterpiece." Ultimately, the customer controls the portion and therefore the price at the register through weigh-and-pay format. In addition, Peachwave locations may offer non-dairy and/or sugar free choices, yogurt and non-dairy smoothies as well as assortments of cold and hot beverages.
