PEMCO Insurance is celebrating Super Blue Friday by raising the 12th Man flag at the company's Seattle headquarters this Friday, Jan. 30, at 10 a.m., and will later send its massive 12sFly banner, adorned with thousands of fan signatures and photos, on its inaugural flight around the Seattle region.
Former Seahawks star linebacker Michael Jackson will join PEMCO to raise its big 12 flag on the roof of PEMCO's iconic headquarters along I-5 in South Lake Union. Jackson, a Pasco native and two-time All-Conference University of Washington Husky, played eight seasons with the Seahawks from 1979 to 1986. He'll be joined on Friday by special guest, "Richard Purrman" the cat, and Richard's owner Nathan Smith.
Also on Friday, PEMCO will send its massive 12sFly banner on a circular flight from Renton to Seattle, Lynnwood, and the Eastside before it departs for Arizona to fly over the big game. During the past week, the banner has toured the Northwest to collect thousands of fan signatures and photos, which cover the 12,000 square-foot spectacle. All told, 42,471 signatures and 22,458 photos will take flight to support the Seahawks in the big game this weekend.
