Governor/Lt.Governor; U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, Pennsylvania State Senate; and Pennsylvania State House of Representatives

HARRISBURG, Pa., Aug. 12 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Earlier today the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO announced the endorsements of Democrats Dan Onorato and Scott Conklin for Governor/Lt. Governor and the endorsement of Democratic Congressman Joe Sestak for U.S. Senate.

The following is the complete list of Pennsylvania AFL-CIO endorsements including for U.S. House of Representatives, Pennsylvania State Senate and Pennsylvania State House of Representatives, which were acted upon this afternoon by the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO Executive Council in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

"The endorsements are based upon the voting records and commitment of these candidates on issues that are of top concern to Pennsylvania's working families in this election: putting Pennsylvania back to work; investments in infrastructure and education; quality affordable health care; and improving the quality of life of our communities," Pennsylvania AFL-CIO President Richard Bloomingdale said in announcing these endorsements.

The Pennsylvania AFL-CIO is the largest labor organization in the state, representing over 900,000 union workers and their families. Endorsements are made by a 2/3rds vote of the members of the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO's Executive Council representing unions affiliated with the State Labor Federation.
