Pennsylvania Governor's Residence to Hold Watch Party for Red Land's LLWS United States World Championship Game
HARRISBURG, Pa., Aug. 28, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- From 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday August 29th, the Governor's Residence will open to the public to hold a watch party for Red Land's Little League World Series United States Championship game. At 3:30 PM, Red Land, representing Pennsylvania, will take on a team from Pearland, Texas.
"We're excited to open the Governor's Residence to the public to show our support for Red Land," said Governor Tom Wolf. "We're so proud of Red Land and all the hard work and dedication they've shown throughout the season. We wanted to show the Red Land coaches and players that the whole commonwealth is cheering them on."
Last Sunday, Governor Wolf and First Lady Frances Wolf had the opportunity to stop in South Williamsport to meet the Red Land Little League team. You can check out pictures from the visit here.
The Governor's Residence is located at 2035 North Front Street in Harrisburg. Parking is permitted along Second Street, including the Permit Parking Only section directly in front of the Governor's Residence. Parking is also available in the private lot at the corner of Second and Maclay Streets. Guests should enter the Residence grounds through the Second Street gates. No large bags or totes. Security measures will be in place.
