Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board Celebrates the Grand Opening of the First Rebranded Fine Wine & Good Spirits Premium Collection Store in the Capital Region
CARLISLE, Pa., June 25, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, PLCB, today cut the ribbon to officially mark the opening of the rebranded Fine Wine & Good Spirits Premium Collection Store at Carlisle Marketplace, 281 S. Spring Garden St., Carlisle.
With almost 7,750 square feet of space, the remodeled store is more than double its former size. As a result, consumers will have hundreds of additional products to browse through. The store provides more than 1,740 wine products, including Chairman's Selection®, which offers consumers select, highly-rated wines at significant savings, and luxury wine products. In addition, about 920 spirits will be available for purchase.
"We're thrilled to provide consumers with an expanded selection in a far warmer, more inviting retail atmosphere," said PLCB Chairman Joseph E. Brion. "To assist consumers in navigating the many choices, we've also added a retail wine specialist to the staff to answer questions, provide pairing advice or offer recommendations. Improving the consumer experience from the moment they walk in the door continues to be our priority."
The focal point of the store is a center table, which is equipped with spacious counters and a tasting bar to highlight new products and featured selections. It provides a gathering place for consumers to learn about products, find recommendations and get assistance. The remodeled store also includes new shelving and décor.
"We've rebranded more than 60 stores across the state to date," said Board Member Tim Holden. "Regardless of where these stores are located, consumer feedback has been tremendously positive."
Throughout the redesign and construction, the PLCB has been committed to developing a store that is attractive and environmentally responsible. The majority of the lighting is state-of-the-art LED or energy-efficient compact-fluorescent lighting, which uses a fraction of the energy of traditional lighting. The store will also sell reusable shopping bags made from 60-percent recycled materials.
This remodeled Fine Wine & Good Spirits Store will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
