PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Ron Jaworski, the legendary quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles, 1980 NFL MVP and noted football analyst on ESPN television networks, will sign pre-purchased bottles of Captain Morgan White Rum from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, at the Fine Wine & Good Spirits Premium Collection Store, Columbus Commons North Shopping Center, 1940 S. Christopher Columbus Blvd., Philadelphia, 19148.
Captain Morgan, which dominates the spiced rum category, is leaving familiar territory with its new White Rum. Although this is an unflavored rum, this spirit has a hint of vanilla on the palate, giving it a sweeter taste than traditional white rum consumers may be familiar with. Pennsylvania was one of the first markets to sell this product, which was launched nationally during Super Bowl week. A complimentary tasting of Captain Morgan White Rum will be available for those 21 and older at the Jaworski signing.
Jaworski joined the Eagles for the 1977 season. He led the team to its first-ever Super Bowl appearance in 1980, and quarterbacked other successful campaigns. He joined ESPN in 1990 and has become a respected football analyst, spending five years in the broadcast booth on "Monday Night Football" and becoming a fixture on multiple ESPN shows. Jaworski is also known for his charitable work, especially with at-risk children.
Media interested in interviewing Jaworski should contact the PLCB Office of External Affairs for more information.
