Penton's Natural Products Expo Honored for Innovation by Trade Show Executive
NEW YORK, Aug. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Penton today announced New Hope Natural Media's Natural Products Expo the world's largest and premier tradeshow for the natural, organic and healthy products industry, won a Trade Show Executive Innovation Reader's Choice Award in the "Most Innovative Green Initiatives by Show Management" category.

Natural Products Expo teamed up with Global Experience Specialists (GES) to create an exhibit floor covering one million gross square feet with recycled and sustainable materials. The exhibit floor included carpeting from 100 percent recycled materials, which the show continues to reuse and drapes made of natural muslin material. Structural panels were 100 percent eco-wood, table tops were corn starch and the trash bags were biodegradable. All of the shows graphics were produced on sustainable materials and signage was constructed with a 100 percent paper-based product made from renewable material that's chlorofluorocarbon-free. Vegetable-based printing inks were used and state-of-the-art, low-impact green printing equipment. Directories and other show communications were only available electronically via the website and mobile applications.
