KALAMAZOO, Michigan, USA, March 29, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Stryker announced today that it has been named a Company that Cares by People magazine, in partnership with Great Place to Work (GPTW). We ranked #45 out of 50 companies on the list. This list highlights the top U.S. companies with 1,000 or more employees that have succeeded in business while also demonstrating respect, compassion and concern for their employees, their communities and the environment.
To determine the companies on the list, GPTW asked more than 368,000 randomly selected employees from various companies about their daily experiences at work, taking into account their personal stories about the difference their workplaces have made in their lives and in their communities. GPTW also looked at the generosity of the organizations' benefits, financial donations and volunteerism.
"Our great culture is a result of our great people," said Katy Fink, VP, Chief Human Resources Officer. "Stryker is a company of caring, compassionate, driven people who live our mission and values every day. We thank our employees for their determination to make healthcare better and, with that same drive, help one another and our communities."
