PeopleMatter Serves Genghis Grill Something to Savor
Strategic Human Resource Software Company Chooses Genghis Grill to Receive a Free 90-Day Trial of its Tax Credit Processing Module within the PeopleMatter Talent Ecosystem Platform at 2010 NRA Show
CHARLESTON, S.C. and DALLAS, June 14 /PRNewswire/ -- PeopleMatter chose Dallas-based Mongolian barbecue chain Genghis Grill to receive a complimentary 90-day trial of its Tax Credit Processing module within the PeopleMatter Talent Ecosystem at the 2010 National Restaurant Association (NRA) conference in Chicago. PeopleMatter's platform will allow the chain to take advantage of employer tax credits, ultimately increasing the chain's efficiency by saving managers time, reducing income tax liability, ensuring compliance and increasing cash flow.
The PeopleMatter Tax Credit Processing module will integrate with Genghis Grill's current hiring process to seamlessly and easily identify, calculate and certify all current and overlooked tax credits. With 45 stores and an expected 15 more planned to open by the end of the year, the potential savings for Genghis Grill in the first 90 days could reach into the tens of thousands of dollars with an average savings of $1,250 per certified employee.
These potential savings represent a trend among industries with hourly workers and high-turnover rates (such as the restaurant and convenience store verticals): companies are not taking advantage of employer tax credits and are losing significant opportunities for return on their investment in employment costs. In fact, in 2009, 12 million American hires were tax credit eligible, but companies claimed less than 4 percent of those hires' credits.
By taking advantage of state and federal tax credit programs, companies take advantage of monetary incentives, but also benefit from a degree of social good. The tax credit programs incentivize companies to hire individuals from groups such as veterans, summer hires, disadvantaged youth and recipients of public assistance programs who might otherwise have difficulty finding their way into the workforce.
"Using our innovative and easy to use platform will enable companies to be socially responsible by putting individuals in these targeted groups back to work while at the same time saving thousands of dollars," said Nate DaPore, PeopleMatter president and chief executive officer. DaPore continued, "We are passionate about helping our clients make their employees matter in the workplace and manage every stage of their career through innovative and engaging technologies."
The 2010 NRA conference reinforced the demand in the restaurant industry for a technology-enabled tax credit management system to help restaurants become more efficient and compliant. As the restaurant industry standard moves toward technology-enabled management both in the management of the workforce and operations of a restaurant, the demand for a complete talent management software solution increases.
PeopleMatter's end-to-end strategic human resource software platform helps restaurants (and similar, hourly workforce verticals) streamline the tax credit process while also managing the process of finding, hiring, training, engaging, scheduling and retaining their most valuable asset: their people.
"We are very excited about adding our newest customer to the PeopleMatter family," DaPore said. "Congratulations to the Genghis Grill team on winning a great prize."
