Multi-Touch Leader Positions for Major Growth
NEW YORK, Nov. 8, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Perceptive Pixel Inc., the leading developer of advanced multi-touch solutions, announced today the hiring of several executives to the company's management team: Fred Allman, vice president - sales; and Derrick Horner, vice president – corporate development and general counsel; and Bob Pette, vice president - professional solutions and services.

Allman brings 28 years of sales and sales leadership experience to Perceptive Pixel Inc. He has held VP of Sales positions at SiCortex, Inc., and Silicon Graphics, Inc., along with a number of other sales leadership positions at Silicon Graphics, Hewlett-Packard and IBM. He brings a proven track record of building and leading high-performance teams, and delivering outstanding results. Allman has an MBA from University of Texas at Austin and received his B.S. in Political Science and B.A. in Economics from Southern Methodist University.
Horner is a multi-faceted, technology start-up veteran with a track record of successful execution at all stages of growth through exit. Horner most recently served as executive vice president, corporate development and general counsel of Vizible Corporation, where he managed global legal matters, corporate strategy, and financial planning. He brings extensive investment and M&A expertise and has held senior positions at Massive Incorporated, 24/7 Real Media and Source Media. He is a former associate of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett (New York and London). Horner graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College and Harvard Law School with honors.
Pette joins Perceptive Pixel Inc. from Nvidia Corporation, Santa Clara, where he was vice president, global solution architects in the professional solutions business unit, responsible for building a team of solution specialists that showcased Nvidia's visual computing technologies for the Quadro and Tesla brands. Before Nvidia Pette spent 21 years at Silicon Graphics where he held positions in systems engineering; visualization hardware and software product development; application and solutions development; customer benchmarking; customer services; services/sales operations; and corporate marketing. Pette received his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech and his B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Tampa.
The three new executives joined David Slobodin, vice president, hardware, a seasoned executive with more than 20 years experience developing and commercializing innovative display and electronic imaging products. Slobodin has held executive positions at White Electronic Designs Display Systems Division (VP/General Manager), InFocus (CTO), Silicon Light Machines (Engineering Mgr.), DARPA (Program Mgr.), Greyhawk Systems, Polaroid. He holds a Ph.D. EE from Princeton University, a BS EE from MIT and has 23 issued US patents.
