WASHINGTON, June 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Perennial Strategy Group, LLC announced today that attorney Stephanie Baucus will join the firm as Vice President of Government Relations and Public Affairs.  Ms. Baucus, a former Associate Director at the U.S. Department of Justice, brings to Perennial a decade of experience in government affairs, legal advocacy, bipartisan policymaking, political campaigns, and nonprofit service.  In this position, she will provide strategic counsel to and lead advocacy efforts for non-profit organizations and Fortune 500 companies on the most critical governmental issues in today's business environment.

Prior to joining Perennial, Ms. Baucus worked at the U.S. Department of Justice, volunteered on various political campaigns and on Capitol Hill, and represented clients - Fortune 50 corporations, foreign sovereigns, and municipalities - as an associate at major international law firms and a regulatory boutique in Washington, DC. 

Her experience in regulatory affairs, litigation, and criminal investigations on behalf of clients from a wide variety of industries, including banking, mortgage lending, government contracting, consulting, energy, insurance, transportation, and food and product safety expands Perennial's abilities to serve corporate America.  Further, her intergovernmental and public relations experience at the Justice Department, working with state and local elected officials and national groups like NCSL, NACo, NCMEC, the ABA, the Hispanic National Bar Association, and the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, on key federal policy issues like immigration, civil rights, indigent defense, diversity, and federal grants expands Perennial's portfolio of services and broadens its bipartisan appeal and reach. 

Ms. Baucus earned a Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School and graduated summa cum laude from Emory University in Atlanta with her Bachelor of Arts in political science and religious studies.  She is actively involved in the local and national nonprofit community, working with organizations to help at-risk youth, reduce homelessness, support victims of human trafficking, fight heart disease, and clean up the National Mall.
