Permabit Names Daniel Eiref as SVP & COO

CAMBRIDGE, Mass, Nov. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Permabit Technology Corporation, the recognized leader in storage efficiency technologies, today announced that it has named Daniel Eiref as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company as it extends the penetration of its Albireo Data Optimization Software into new markets and among its existing customer base. He reports to company CEO Tom Cook .

Eiref has more than 20 years of operations, engineering, business development and marketing experience managing worldwide teams that delivered OEM solutions for software, hardware and semiconductor markets. He comes to Permabit from Broadcom Corporation, where he served as Vice President and General Manager of the company's Consumer Electronics Group, which included the Blu-Ray and digital television software and semiconductor businesses. Prior to Broadcom Eiref held executive positions with ATI Technologies (acquired by AMD) and as a principal engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation.
