DUBLIN, May 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Perrigo Company plc (NYSE: PRGO; TASE) today announced it has received final U.S. Food and Drug Administration ("FDA") approval for the generic version of Valeant Pharmaceutical International, Inc.'s BenzaClin® Pump Topical Gel. Shipments to customers have already commenced.
BenzaClin® Pump Topical Gel (clindamycin phosphate 1% and benzoyl peroxide 5%) is indicated for the topical treatment of acne vulgaris. Combined generic and branded sales for the twelve months ending February 2016 were $79 million.
