Personify Leverages the Intel® RealSense™ 3D Camera to Bring Video Calling to Life

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Personify, the leader in immersive video technology, launched a new application called Personify this week, which leverages Intel® RealSense™ technology to bring a more realistic dimension to video calling. Using the world's foremost dynamic background removal technology, Personify separates the user from their environment and immerses them onto their desktop, like a real-time green screen. The experience heightens the video calling experience and makes video more valuable for collaboration and sharing online experiences.

Personify's application is available today on the Intel RealSense App Showcase. The App Showcase brings the Intel RealSense experience to life through the use of 3D imaging technology, for innovative new developments in gaming, education, entertainment, content creation and collaboration.

Personify is a free application and works with Windows 7 and 8 operating systems, with the Mac version available later in 2015. Users can have video calls with friends who do not have a 3D camera, such as an Intel RealSense 3D Camera. Personify is available in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese.
