Peter Lang Joins Chardan as Managing Director

NEW YORK, Oct. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Chardan, a global investment bank, announced today that the firm appointed Peter Lang as Managing Director and Head of Healthcare Banking. Mr. Lang joins Chardan with over 20 years of investment banking experience advising healthcare clients.

Prior to Chardan, Mr. Lang served as Managing Director and Head of North America Healthcare Investment Banking & Advisory at HSBC. Mr. Lang also drove the biotech investment banking effort at FBR and worked at Leerink Partners as an M&A healthcare banker. Additionally, he served as a senior member of the biopharmaceutical investment banking teams in the healthcare groups of Bank of America Merrill Lynch, UBS Investment Bank and Merrill Lynch.  Mr. Lang also previously helped run the effort to build Macquarie Capital's investment banking M&A franchise in the U.S.

Mr. Lang graduated magna cum laude with dual B.S. and B.A. degrees from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton Business School and School of Arts & Sciences, and earned an M.B.A. with high honors from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.

Over the course of Mr. Lang's investment banking career, he has advised on over 40 M&A transactions with an estimated value of $25 billion and raised over $100 billion in more than 115 equity, convertible and debt financings, primarily for growth, acquisition and investment capital.
