PetXpert Animal Clinic and DiaSys Diagnostic Systems, USA Announce Collaborative Effort To Establish First Veterinary Practice In The State Of Florida To Offer In-Practice Diagnostic Testing Utilizing The respons®910VET Clinical Chemistry Analyzer
APOPKA, Fla., May 17, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- PetXpert Animal Clinic of Apopka, Florida and the Veterinary Division of U.S.-based DiaSys Diagnostic Systems announced today the establishment of a first of its kind diagnostic testing center in the State of Florida. The two companies have implemented a business model which takes a highly collaborative approach to providing animal care by engaging pet owners more deeply in understanding the capabilities and diagnostic value associated with in-practice testing. This approach results in a more educated client, faster turnaround of test results and timelier diagnosis and treatment.
"We are pleased to be the first in the State of Florida to have the in-house DiaSys Laboratory. We are able to perform very specific testing and give clients same-day results that normally have to be sent out to a reference laboratory. This in most cases, allows us to diagnose and treat a pet's condition more quickly and in a more cost-effective manner," said Alex Avila, DVM and owner.
"Our model is to engage and educate our clients in each step of the care we provide to their pets. This includes giving them the opportunity to experience first-hand how laboratory tests are performed and how diagnostic results are generated. The highly collaborative relationship between our practice, DiaSys and our clients helps us to effectively diagnose and treat a pet's condition within this model," adds Leesa Avila, Chief Operating Officer and owner for PetXpert Animal Clinic.
Douglas Danne, DiaSys USA Chief Executive Officer states, "DiaSys provides laboratory diagnostic products and services which allow for very specific and targeted analysis to be performed in the veterinary clinic resulting in a more flexible and cost effective care model. This approach benefits the patient, pet owner and the practice."
Both organizations have already experienced the benefits of this innovative model in business growth and anticipate the replication of this approach both regionally and nationally over time.
