Philips Sonicare introduces Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart: A revolutionary, connected power toothbrush designed to provide complete oral care

Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart not only helps users achieve personalized oral health goals – from plaque removal and gum health, to stain removal and fresh breath – but by connecting seamlessly to the Philips Sonicare app, it provides users with real-time feedback and personalized coaching on their brushing routines for a complete clean. The Philips Sonicare app also keeps track of user behavior over time, delivering 100% coverage⁴ for each brushing session, so users can understand their progress in-between visits to their dental professional.

A key new feature of Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart is the intuitive brush head system with Smart Brush Head Recognition technology. Each of the four new brush heads includes a built-in microchip that automatically syncs to the brush head with sensors located in the handle that feature optimal cleaning modes and intensity settings for a bespoke cleaning experience. The brush head performance monitor even provides personalized feedback on when to change the brush head for peak performance.

The four new brush heads include:

The Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart helps you get a clear picture of your brushing habits by using three new smart brushing sensors located in the handle to send data from the toothbrush to the Philips Sonicare app using Bluetooth® wireless technology. These smart sensors include one for Scrubbing to track motion, one to guide on the correct Pressure and another to track the Location of the brush head to never miss a zone. In addition to the information captured by the sensors, users are able to track how well they are brushing each day, set goals and focus on trouble spots, plus share their results with their dental practitioners. 

The sensors also provide visual cues to the user through the brush handle. If too much pressure is being applied while brushing, the light ring on the end of the handle will flash. This acts as a gentle reminder to ease off the pressure and let the brush head do the work. Also, the smart brush head performance monitor tracks the brush head's effectiveness based on actual brushing time and pressure. Simply replace the brush head when the icon on the handle lights up.

Aside from a personalized oral care experience, DiamondClean Smart makes charging the toothbrush easy and stylish. The glass charger – which doubles as a rinsing glass – instantly charges once the toothbrush is placed inside of it.  A deluxe travel case also acts as a charger via a USB port. One full charge, either by glass or by case, allows for up to two weeks of regular use.
