The foundation provides a wide variety of community services in the African American community in Arkansas including youth development, health, and wellness, education, and business/economic development.  Founded 20 years ago by Charles Stewart , the foundation had a major impact on communities around Arkansas by providing needed funds for social work, basic subsistence, and medical care for those in need. http://www.arblackhalloffame.org/

Some recent organizations helped by the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame include the Area Agency on Aging of Southeast Arkansas, Inc. (Pine Bluff), Arkansas Foodbank (Little Rock), Ashley County Medical Center (Crossett), Community Empowerment Council, Inc. (Pine Bluff), and Daughters of Charity Services of Arkansas (Dumas).

PCO discovered the work of the ABHOF last year during an induction ceremony for board member Charles Phillips , a native Arkansan.  This donation was in honor of E. Lynn Harris , an inductee into the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame in the year 2000 and cousin of Charles Phillips.  Mr. Harris was a well known and passionate advocate for all things Arkansan, especially his beloved Razorbacks.

Karen and Charles Phillips Charitable Organization is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit foundation providing financial help for single parents, students interested in engineering, and wounded veterans. 100% of the foundation's assets are disbursed directly to grantees. Our charter: urgent cases where a timely bootstrap grant can initiate meaningful change toward a planned recovery.  Founded by Charles Phillips, CEO of Infor, and wife Karen Phillips, the foundation has expanded staff to multiple states and awarded over 150 grants.
