CHANTILLY, Va., Nov. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- PhishMe, the leading provider of security behavior management services that improve employees' resilience towards spear phishing, malware, and drive-by attacks, today announced that it has been selected as a SINET 16 Innovator. PhishMe will present its solution during the SINET Showcase 2013 to be held December 4-5, 2013 at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. The Security Innovation Network™ (SINET) is organization focused on advancing Cybersecurity innovation through public-private collaboration.
"It's an honor to be selected as an innovator in the Cybersecurity space and to be part of the SINET 16," said Rohyt Belani, CEO and co-founder of PhishMe. "This selection, in addition to PhishMe being the only institutional investor-backed company in the security behavior management space, reaffirms PhishMe's market leadership. PhishMe will present its solution that leverages immersive training to effectively change employee behavior, empowers users to act as sensors of targeted phishing attacks, and augments an organization's existing security operations and incident response processes."
The SINET Showcase, a public-private partnership initiative, was created to identify and share innovative and potentially disruptive Cybersecurity technologies among the audience of buyers and influencers from the investment, research, commercial, civilian, defense and intelligence communities. The SINET Showcase program, supported by the Department of Homeland Security Science & Technology Directorate, received one hundred and fifteen application submissions from early stage and emerging technology companies, with the guideline that their revenues be under $15 million. These entries were carefully vetted in a two-stage process by the SINET Showcase Steering Committee comprised of 66 leaders from the government, industry, investment and academic communities.
"The traditional corporate debate of 'build versus buy' is no longer a debate. It's a buy market being driven by a dynamic attack environment. As a result, the importance of accelerating innovation is imperative, not only for the entrepreneur, but also for a higher calling – the national security and economic interests of our country," said Robert Rodriguez, Chairman and Founder of SINET. "We congratulate the SINET 16 for helping shape, influence and impacting the future of the Cybersecurity domain."
