Photographer Michael Tischler Kicks Off Five-City One-Off Image Gallery Tour With Gift For National September 11 Memorial & Museum
NEW YORK, Aug. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Photographer Michael Tischler will kick off a five-city gallery tour in New York City at 345 Broome Street Gallery with a philanthropic initiative designed to raise funds for the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. The proceeds of Tischler's "One World Trade Center" image, limited to just one print on archival aluminum, will be donated to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, "honoring the many men and women who lost their lives tragically that day, and the many who have given that site a new lease on life by working to construct the memorial and new building," says Tischler.
The exhibit will include twenty of Tischler's iconic New York City Limited Edition photographs – all one-off HDR prints on large-scale archival aluminum, beginning a nationwide tour for the photographer.
Says "high wire artist" Philippe Petit, "In this splendid series of Michael Tischler's photographs of NYC, I highly (pun intended) recommend his take from the recently opened 'new top of the world,' WTC 1. Michael gives us a dreamy view of Manhattan with the Brooklyn Bridge eerily floating above the East River, and a feeling of infinite space and peace. I salute Michael's humanitarianism for donating the proceeds from this inspiring artwork to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum."
The show will be celebrated with a reception on Saturday, September 12 from 5-9pm, free of charge and open to the public. The exhibit runs September 4-18, 2015, with gallery hours from 11am-7pm on Tuesdays-Sundays.
The decision to limit each photograph to one print and utilize archival aluminum was a very deliberate philosophical choice.
"I want to revive the concept of one-of-a-kind art in an age of mass production," stated Tischler. "Every one of these images deserves to be a standalone piece of art."
Tischler will bring the Limited Edition collection to other galleries throughout the country over the coming year, including stops in Miami and Las Vegas, among other cities. The work ranges in price from $10,000-$20,000.

The Michael Tischler Limited Edition Image collection brings extraordinary New York City scenes to life on large-scale archival aluminum, with each print limited to just one, shifting the paradigm for artists who work in all mediums. The series showcases Tischler's unique urban landscape style, and his incredible ability to capture light and color through a high-level mastery of HDR photography. The one-off prints average approximately 44" x 63" in size (and 43" x 90" for the panoramic images), and include everything from the fascinating geometric patterns of skyscrapers and subways to deeply moving, vibrant images taken from the observation deck at One World Trade Center and other iconic sites. Each one reveals a moment in time that cannot, and will not, be recreated; Tischler has made a decision to limit each image to only one print.
