Picturepark's David Diamond Selected for Createasphere's DAMMY-of-the-Year Award

BURBANK, Calif., Oct. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Createasphere, founders of the annual DAMMYs, the first awards specifically recognizing excellence and innovation in digital and media asset management technology, today announces that David Diamond, director of global marketing at Picturepark and author of DAM Survival Guide, is the winner of its 2013 DAMMY-of-the-Year Award. Diamond is being recognized for his role as an author, educator and business leader in the digital asset industry who "exemplifies forward-thinking, leadership and innovation." The award will presented at a gala luncheon on October 8^th as part of Createasphere's Digital Asset Management Conference and Exhibition in New York City.

Diamond said that he hopes the award will inspire further efforts toward knowledge sharing throughout the DAM industry. Diamond has worked in digital asset management since 1998. He has served as director of global marketing for Picturepark, a Swiss DAM software vendor, since early 2012. Prior to Picturepark, Diamond directed marketing for Canto Software, where he worked for 12 years. He has also held senior management positions with Apple and the University of Southern California. He began his DAM career as a freelance writer. At Picturepark, Diamond developed the DAM Guru Program, a free service that connects members of the international DAM community and also helps to place them with employers. Diamond is a frequent speaker and lecturer at industry events worldwide.
