DENVER, April 13, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care will be affiliating with Care Synergy, a not-for-profit organization created to support, sustain and grow preeminent not-for-profit, community-based, legacy hospice providers along Colorado's Front Range, the boards of directors of both organizations announced today. Other affiliates include The Denver Hospice, Halcyon Hospice and Pathways Hospice.
As a Care Synergy affiliate, Pikes Peak Hospice will continue to provide compassionate end-of-life and palliative care in El Paso County while benefitting from Care Synergy's shared resources and broader market presence to ensure its long-term sustainability and strategic positioning in the changing health care environment.
"This partnership with Care Synergy allows us to remain independent and locally governed. At the same time it will help us work more efficiently and put even more emphasis on the comprehensive end-of-life and palliative care we provide to those in need in our community," said Martha Barton, President of Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care.
Under the Care Synergy operating model, each of the four affiliates will continue to operate as distinct and independent not-for-profit hospice and palliative care providers serving their respective communities.
