Pioneer Bankshares, Inc. Declares 2nd Quarter Dividend

STANLEY, Va., June 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of Pioneer Bankshares, Inc. in Stanley, Virginia declared a 2nd quarter dividend on June 14, 2012 in the amount of $0.15 per share.  This dividend payment brings the total dividends paid to-date for 2012 to $0.30 per share and is the same dividend amount as was paid in the prior quarter.  The Company is pleased to be able to maintain this consistent dividend payment to its shareholders in light of the current and challenging economic environment.  This dividend will be payable on June 29, 2012 to shareholders of record on June 25, 2012. 

Pioneer Bankshares Inc. is a one bank holding company located in Page County Virginia. The Company owns and operates Pioneer Bank with six banking locations.   The main office is located in Stanley, with other branch offices located in Shenandoah, Luray, Harrisonburg, Stanardsville and Charlottesville, all in Virginia.   The Bank also has a small consumer loan finance operation known as Valley Finance Services, a Division of Pioneer Bank, which operates within the Harrisonburg branch facility.

The Company's stock trades on the Over The Counter Bulletin Board under the symbol PNBI.OB.
