Pioneering Tech Company Fantag Launches Summer Videography Class for High School Students
The Fantag Videography Academy (FVA) will educate Northern California high-schoolers on the art and science of modern sports videography
SACRAMENTO, Calif., May 30, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Fantag, a pioneer in mobile video technology, today announced the launch of the Fantag Videographer Academy (FVA), a series of single-day workshops on the art and science of modern sports videography for Northern California high school students.
FVA – a unique, tuition-free learning experience led by experts in videography and mobile technology – will come in advance of Fantag's regional launch of its technology, a breakthrough platform that enables fans at sporting events to capture, replay, and share their favorite plays with a simple tap of the finger on their mobile phones, synchronizing with cameras in the arena. FVA students will learn the basics of shooting video at live events, plus advanced techniques to make video more engaging. No experience is required – Fantag will be looking for students with the passion to learn.
Heading up FVA is Brian Dombrowksi, founder and CEO at Fantag, who in high school worked as a videographer for the coaching staff of the NHL's San Jose Sharks.
"Sports videography is in our DNA," said Dombrowksi. "And we believe the best time to begin learning these skills is in high school and college, when many young people first begin to develop skills that can later lead to professional opportunities. We're excited to share what we know with the next generation of videographers, beginning with high schoolers in the Northern California region."
FVA graduates will be prepared to cover Fantag-ready high school games this Fall in the Sacramento and San Joaquin counties and other select venues in Northern California. Future classes will precede the introduction of the Fantag platform to other regions throughout the US.
"With FVA, we see a great opportunity to enter many regional markets," said Fantag CMO and FVA producer Giovanni Rodriguez, who has advised a wide range of organizations on community-driven growth strategies. "Starting here – in our own backyard – will help us better understand how to do this while identifying partners who will help us to grow."
