Planet Bingo Responds to Video King's Misinterpretation of Judicial Actions
PALM DESERT, Calif., Sept. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Recent decisions of Judge Canady in the Ingham County Circuit Court (Case #11-1369-CK) have been put forward in a press release by VKGS, LLC. While Judge Canady has made some decisions on a pretrial basis, none of the decisions he has made are final. All are subject to appellate rights and further proceedings. None of the claims made by Plaintiffs have ever been ruled as frivolous. In fact, the motion to disqualify Judge Canady that was previously filed by Planet Bingo® is currently subject to review by the Chief Judge of the Ingham County Circuit Court.
Planet Bingo®'s claims remain alive and well. There was a companion Nebraska litigation that was brought by VKGS, LLC against Planet Bingo®. Planet Bingo®'s counterclaims are all pending before that Court. The claims involve a different time frame and different causes of action than those that were pending before the Court in Lansing, Michigan. At a recent motion hearing in Omaha, Nebraska (Case No. CI 11-8953), the Court was presented hard evidence that Video King had taken positions in the Lansing case that were entirely contradictory to representations it had previously made before the Nebraska District Court, the Court of Appeals and the Nebraska Supreme Court. Planet Bingo® is awaiting the determinations of the Court on these matters. VKGS, LLC continues to send out press releases claiming victories that do not yet exist. Planet Bingo® stands by its claims against VKGS, LLC and expects those claims to result, ultimately, in a victory for Planet Bingo® and Melange.
