SAN MATEO, Calif., Feb. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- SuccessFactors, Inc. (Nasdaq: SFSF) announced that Plantronics, a world leader in audio communications, has entered into an agreement to implement SuccessFactors' Business Execution (BizX) Suite to drive new levels of efficiency in the execution of its corporate strategy through people management. With this announcement, Plantronics joins other top tier companies in selecting SuccessFactors' Business Execution (BizX) software suite over traditional people management software.
Plantronics purchased the entire SuccessFactors BizX Suite for its employees, including Recruiting Management, Succession Management, Goal Management, Performance Management, Learning & Development and Compensation Management to communicate strategic initiatives from the top down.
The SuccessFactors integrated BizX Suite allows Plantronics to bring together data and internal success metrics to improve efficiency across the organization on a single platform – increasing transparency and accountability. Using the SuccessFactors BizX Suite, Plantronics will leverage their employees to better drive its strategy, clarify corporate objectives and pay according to achievement. The same system will let Plantronics maintain visibility into the performance of new hires well after their start date to ensure immediate and long-term impact of its recruiting efforts.
"As a pay-for-performance company, our goal is to align our employees and link them to overall strategic objectives so everyone will see how they fit into the footprint of Plantronics' strategy," said Pat Wadors, senior vice president, human resources, Plantronics. "It's a priority for us to be able to communicate our strategy from the top down, then judge our results against that strategy in order to reward our employees. SuccessFactors Business Execution Suite will be one of the catalysts towards improving our pay-for-performance culture at Plantronics."
Prior to deploying SuccessFactors, Plantronics used various homegrown and outsourced products to handle pieces of its people management, from recruiting to compensation. With SuccessFactors, Plantronics will standardize on one platform for the entire employee lifecycle and be able to better use its people to focus on strategic initiatives.
"Our previous solutions were a tangled, patchwork approach that didn't clearly link to Plantronics' strategic objectives. We had different regions using different systems to manage different business areas: creating a disconnect between expectations and timing, without visibility or linkage across the enterprise," said Wadors, "Our goal is to have recruiting, performance, succession and other processes work seamlessly on one solution with SuccessFactors, enabling our managers to be more strategic and efficient."
