Plastic Surgeon Takes Groundbreaking iPhone App, BuildMyBod, Global.

BATON ROUGE, La., June 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Jonathan Kaplan, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and iPhone App inventor, announced that his iPhone App, BuildMyBod, is going Global with the first launch phase to include England, Ireland and Israel in the next month.  The BuildMyBod Smartphone App was developed to allow consumers to find cosmetic surgeons, plan and price cosmetic surgery procedures, and make an appointment directly through the application.

"Global rollout of the BuildMyBod App was the natural progression after initial positive response from consumers and plastic surgeons in major cities across the United States which included New Orleans, Miami, Santa Barbara, Phoenix, New York and the Carolinas," said Dr. Jonathan Kaplan.

The App will now provide consumers in other countries the ability, for the first time, to search for cosmetic surgeons via smartphones and review different procedures by gender with pricing information that includes the total cost, doctors' fees, operating room costs, anesthesia cost, implants and other ancillary fees.

The second version of the App, with a revised brand, was just approved by the Apple App Store and is now available for iPhones, iPads and the iPod Touch.  The App is currently being developed for Android smartphones.  Consumers can download the free App at the Apple App Store by searching keyword, "buildmybod."

According to Kaplan, "Consumers want information to make better buying decisions, especially about cosmetic surgery, where prices for the same procedures can vary by as much as 35%.  As the dramatic growth in the development of apps for the iPhone shows, people want the convenience of having information they can use to make important decisions on their phones.
